We the people have entrusted too much authority and exerted too little oversight over the actions of officials at all levels of our purportedly representative government.
Freedom-loving Americans live in perilous times. Fundamental liberties so mindfully forged by our Founding Fathers, and reflected in the first Ten Amendments to the U.S. Constitution – our Bill of Rights – are under extreme duress from interests that seek to take away those precious rights.
Overreaches at all levels of government – federal, state, and local – threaten our culture and very way of life. The Founders recognized dangers inherent in the fragile representative system they created, relying on the rule of law, and, in no small measure, the good will and honesty of participants. Today our legal system fails to punish lawbreakers and the goodwill once present in America willfully is challenged by a multitude of weaponized issues, including gender, race, and socioeconomic status.
We in SD45 pledge our engagement to support our duly endorsed Republican candidates across the ballot, from our own local senate district candidates to our endorsed state candidates.. Please join us in protecting our freedoms.
Now is the time for all patriotic citizens to come to the aid of our local communities in SD45 and beyond.
Senate District 45 Republicans - Mission Statement
To administer the affairs and organize each Precinct of the Republican Party within Senate District 45; To help raise funds for SD45 Republicans; to assist in the campaigns of SD45-endorsed candidates vying for offices of State Senator and State Representatives, and all Republican candidates who may represent SD45 constituents; to encourage formation of auxiliary Republican groups by volunteering for campaigns, caucuses, get-out-the-vote efforts, other political events; actively promote Republican causes, plan and staff functions and activities, and perform community outreach.
Our Boundaries
Redistricting to equalize populations within districts occurs in census years, once per decade. Geographic boundaries of the newly-defined SD45 comprise major portions of the former SD33 and portions of SD44 and SD48.
Senate District 45 is composed of two House Districts, 45A and 45B.
Towns that lie within the boundaries of House District 45A include Excelsior, Greenwood, Long Lake, Minnetonka Beach, Minnetrista, Mound, Orono, Saint Bonifacius, Shorewood, Spring Park, and Tonka Bay.
Towns that lie in House District 45B include Minnetonka, Wayzata, and Woodland.
